Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have been one of country’s most beloved couples ever since they started dating in 2005.
The musician and the actress first met at a Hollywood event honoring their fellow Australians. Kidman was the first to show interest in Urban, but it took him around six months to reciprocate her feelings.
They eventually tied the knot in 2006, and moved into their new home in Nashville, Tennessee.
Although the couple owns multiple properties around the world, including Sydney, Beverly Hills, and New York City, they’ve made Tennessee their home base. It’s where they welcomed their two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret.
Urban and Kidman have two homes in the Southern state, a $3.47 million, 12,000-square-foot mansion in Nashville and a farmhouse retreat in Franklin.
“We love New York City, but we’ve got our roots in Nashville,” Kidman told Extra.
She previously gushed about the city’s “very warm,” country music community. “It’s very protective,” she told People. “Keith’s been a part of it for decades now. It’s his home, it’s our home.”
This is why many were surprised to find out that the couple listed one of their homes for sale after 10 years. There were rumors that they were going to be leaving the countryside for the Big Apple.
While the house was indeed put up for sale, Kidman dismissed claims that they were leaving Nashville for good.
Six months later, the couple have yet to find a buyer for the charming rural property, so they slashed the price by $500,000.
This move has sparked a renewed interest in stunning the 5,086-square foot abode.
The 1987 red brick house sits on a 35-acre farmland and includes four bedrooms, four full and two half bathrooms, a private gym, a barn, garden, hiking trails and a guest house complete with its own living room and kitchenette.
While the exterior looks traditional, the renovated interior is very modern with added touches by Kidman and Urban.
