Father Teaches Daughter With Medical Condition A Lesson In Beauty

We would do anything for our children, plain and simple. When they face hardship in their lives, we want to just tell them how things will eventually get better, and that they just need to be strong.

But our words don’t always do enough of a job, which is why we need to sometimes step up and actually do the right thing.

One father understood this better than most, and when his daughter felt she didn’t deserve to be loved because of the symptoms of her medical condition.

Riley Sylvaria is in the first grade and is like any other girl her age, except she has a rare condition called alopecia, which causes people to lose their hair from a young age.

One day, she came home from school and told her mother, Chelsea, that she doesn’t love herself because she is different from her friends and looks “ugly.”

When Chelsea told this to Dave, her husband, he knew exactly what he had to do.
